Bangkok Hiptique Hotel – Best Western

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel – Best Western.

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel Best Western is a boutique hotel in Bangkok. The Bangkok Hiptique Hotel is located centrally in the Sukhumvit district. I have stayed in the hotel 3 times. First time I visited this hotel was in the 2012 and then another two times in 2013. In total I have stayed in Bangkok Hiptique Hotel for 10 nights. The hotel has once before been part of the Best Western group. Today I am pretty sure Bangkok Hiptique Hotel is not part of the Best Western chain. I did not find the Best Western logo anywhere during my 3 stays.

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel is a mid-priced hotel with room rates in the range of $30-$50. Compared to the quality overall I would say the price is fair and good value for money. Bangkok Hiptique Hotel feels like a 3-4 star hotel but is priced like a 2 star hotel. The construction of the building is a bit funny and not really spot on for hotel business. This is one of the charms about this hotel. The unique design of the building means all rooms are unique as well.

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel rates (30-35 USD)

I was searching the whole internet and I found out that the best rates where available for this hotel when booking through AGODA online hotel booking website. AGODA always have promotional prices for this hotel. The standard room rates should be around 30-35 USD.

Central hotel Location in Sukhumvit business district

The location of Bangkok Hiptique Hotel is very central. The hotel is located in the middle of the Sukhumvit business district. This is one of the main areas for tourism in Bangkok. You might feel when you arrive it is not central because the area seems a bit residential. However if you walk to Soi 11 only 200 meters away you are right in the middle of everything. In Soi 11 you find restaurants, pubs and discos. Soi 11 is a main street for tourism.

You are only a short walk away from NaNa Station and from here you can access all of Bangkok by train. You can go to Grand Palace, Patpong night market, Khao San Road and other tourist spots.

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel rooms

I have had a few different rooms in Bangkok Hiptique Hotel. All of them have been nice. One advice I would like to give is to avoid 2nd floor if you can. The rooms here are not as nice as the rest. The best rooms for me are rooms 501,502,503,601,602,603,505 and 605. They have the best interior and location for the swimming pool. Try to avoid rooms ending with 9 as well. I did not like those rooms so much either.

The Bangkok Hiptique hotel rooms have all you need in terms of

  • Airconditioning
  • Cable television
  • Wifi in the rooms
  • Mini-bar
  • Refrigerator
  • Complimentary water
  • Fresh rooms with nice bedding

How to find Bangkok Hiptique Hotel

Getting to Bangkok Hiptique Hotel can be a bit complicated. The first time I went there even the taxi driver was not sure where to find it. The hotel is a bit new.  Not all taxi drivers are familiar with Bangkok Hiptique Hotel. The best ways to arrive in Bangkok Hiptique Hotel is by taxi or SkyTrain (BTS) / Subway (MRT). The hotel is located down Soi 13 of Sukhumvit Road. It is about 1000 meters walk away from Sukhumvit road. The Bangkok Hiptique Hotel building is black and the sign for the hotel is a bit covered. When you get to an area where it starts to look like residence area you are near the hotel.

Getting to Bangkok Hiptique Hotel from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

To go to Bangkok Hiptique Hotel from the airport you can use both train and taxi. I would advise against using the buses from here since the trains would then be a lot faster.

Going by taxi

If you go by taxi to Bangkok Hiptique hotel it will cost you between 400-500 BHT. The taxi driver will charge you extra fees for road toll and airport terminal fee. If you pick a taxi going by the meter the 400-500 BHT should include all these extra charges.

Going by train

Being a tourist it might be difficult knowing what is SkyTrain (BTS) and Metro (MRT). Personally I just think it is all Metro. You can go to Bangkok Hiptique Hotel by train. However it is a bit complicated. I did it and saved around 400 BHT doing so.

To go by train you need to aim for Asok SkyTrain station or NaNa station. From both stations it is possible to walk to the Bangkok Hiptique Hotel. NaNa station is closer but if you are in Asok station NaNa is only one stop. So it might be just as easy to walk. Walk along Sukhumvit Road until you get to Soi 13. At Soi 13 walk until you get to a residential looking area. Now you are almost there. Around 1000 meters you must walk into Soi 13.

When you go by train you need to change trains from the airport line to the line going to Asok Station. To do so you need to walk around 400 meters outside the airport train station to the metro train station. This walk will take about 10 minutes to change trains.

Bangkok Hiptique Hotel service

The service I have received has always been nice. The cleaning of my room was always perfect. One time I had a complaint and the hotel helped me quickly to solve my problem. When you need clean towels for the swimming pool these are also available.

There is a Free TUK-TUK service. However if you travel alone beware that the Tuk-tuk driver will try to ask you for a tip. The tip he ask for is much higher than if the service had not been free. I was offended by his rude way so I gave him nothing. You are not obliged to do so. He is getting paid by the hotel.
